My latest craft project

I've been working on these fabric pumpkins, and I just LOVE them! I didn't have any fall decorations last year, but I have now started collecting. These were really easy to make, they just took a while. I found them on this blog, if you want directions for making some.

September 3rd 2009 Sarah turned one!!!

I can't believe a year has passed since we had this sweetie pie come into our lives. I really can't imagine life without her. She has brought so much happiness to us. She has been such a good baby. Every time my Dad sees Sarah he just marvels at what a good girl she is. We have been very blessed to have such an easy going child! At a year old she can wave, give kisses, give high five, tell us where her nose is, give hugs, take up to 5 steps at a time, say "dog" and "uh-oh", throw food on the ground for Floyd to eat, and many other things. We love you Sarah! Thank you for being in our family, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

We showed Sarah how to feed the baby, and she caught right on!!!
all the loot!
Her brown and pink polka-dot cake!
Daddy had to help her blow out the candle before she grabbed it!

The remnants. She probably would have eaten the whole thing if we let her. Most of it ended up on the ground though.

1 year pictures!!

On the morning of Sarah's first birthday, I took her over to my parent's gorgeous back yard to take pictures. Here are some of my favorites.

What do you think? Which one should we have as her main picture?

Girl's Night

We had a girl's night with April about a month ago. It was a lot of fun! We painted our toenails and made no bakes. Yum yum yummerton. We let Floyd join too, but he declined on the toenail painting.

The benefits of having a dog, with a baby.

1. He entertains Sarah. She'll just crawl all over him and he'll just let her do it. She also thinks it's so funny when he is chewing a dog bone or something, she'll just laugh hysterically at him sometimes.
2. When Isaac is gone at night for work or other reasons, I feel SO much safer. I know he would protect us if he needed to.
3. When we go on walks I feel so much safer with him along.
4. When I go running in the morning, to work off the baby weight, at 5:30 a.m. He's SO excited to get up and go with me. Even thought it annoys me a little that he's so happy to get up so early and go, it helps motivate me.
and last but not least....
5. He eats all of Sarah's food that she throws on the floor. It just makes meal time a lot less messy, and it is SO nice. Thanks Floyd, we appreciate it
