9 months!!!

We went into Sarah's 9 month checkup on June 4th. She was 92nd percentile in height, and 89th percentile in weight. She is a growing girl!!! She loves food!! She now just drinks out of sippy cups, so no more bottles! She started crawling the week after her 9 month appointment, and hasn't slowed down. She gets into everything. She also pulls herself up to standing, and she loves being in that position, so she may not be just crawling for long, we'll see. Before she was proficient at this, she climbed out of her crib. I felt so awful, but luckily she came out of it unscathed. She is saying "mama" a lot more often now. She also says dada, nana, baba, papa, yeah, yes, and sometimes she waves. When we are singing to her she will twist her body back and forth to dance. It is so cute. She also likes to shake her head "no", but I don't think she knows what it means yet. She also does this thing when she's excited, she'll scrunch up her face and point her arms out straight and say "Eeeee" or something like that. I need to get pictures of that one. I do have some pictures to post, but I'll have to put them on here later. We are going to Oregon for a whole week next week, and the week after that I have girl's camp, so I will be very busy preparing for those things!!! But I had to post this now, so I won't forget. We just love this girl and it's so fun to see her learn and grow!!!

We've been busy, so I have 8 new posts up!

Donut Falls hike

Isaac and I went hiking last weekend. (I am really enjoying not being pregnant this summer, so we are getting all we can in. I guess I just felt like I missed out last summer, so I am hungry for the outdoors!!!) Here are just a couple pictures. Sarah loved the hike, but she seems to always be happy when she's outside.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had such a blast on Memorial day weekend. We went down to Fillmore, where my brother and sister-in-law live. We went camping at corn creek on Friday night. Stayed at their place on Saturday. Went toad catching Saturday night. They have a pond that waters their alfalfa, and at night the toads come out to mate. Anyway, you could hear their croaking so we went to go catch them. I caught the first one, which was a big fat female toad. Jason caught the 2nd one, which was a lot smaller. We put them in the bucket together, and almost right away started to mate. They stayed that way the whole time we were in Fillmore. Then we went to church with them on Sunday. We went to an inactive volcano to find floaty rocks, and also found huge collared lizards, and caught 4 of them!!! We also swam in some hot springs there. We had a really good time!!! Thanks Jason and Amy!!

Camping at Corn Creek

Eating dirt, and marshmallows

This was a really cool Cottonwood tree with lots of burls!!!

Sego Lily!! (I think the first time I've seen one in the wild)

TIRED.

I saw a pelican flying on the parkway

He was flying around when Sarah and I were on our walk.

I couldn't see it very well through the camera though, so here's some blue sky to look at!!!

Sarah's first camping trip

This was the trip I was talking about where we went to Antelope island first, got bitten by tons of bugs, bought some way overpriced bug spray at the gift shop there, tried it out with the bugs, still got bit all over. So, it was about 6:00 p.m., and we decided to just head to Diamond Fork campground, up Spanish Fork canyon. It was very worth it to do that. It was so much better! We really enjoyed ourselves. We went with our friends Jared and Jenica, and their daughter Valencia. We had smores and played games. Sarah did so awesome!! She slept all night, surprising even through all the commotion that was going on. It was pretty much pouring in the morning, so we had breakfast in the tent, and packed up all of our soaking wet stuff. It's OK though, I like camping in the rain, just not packing stuff up in it, because then you have to set it all up again at home. Anyway, Sarah just LOVES being outside. She is like her Mommy. She is the most content when she can be outside.

This rock was apparently very yummy!

Her first campfire

Wheeler Farm

Sarah and I went to Wheeler Farm with my friend Jenica, her daughter and her nephews. I love that this place is free, and my favorite part is the geese that eat right out of your hands!!!

This is the best picture I could get of the goose eating right out of our hands.

Sarah was mesmerized by the animals.

Antelope Island

We went to Antelope island a few weeks ago. We had a lot of fun!! We fed seagulls, ate steaks, and Isaac flew his kite. We also discovered what a great picture taking place it is! Especially at sunset. We tried to go camping there the next weekend, but the bugs were HORRIBLE. I have never seen so many small black flying bugs in one place, and they were biting sand fleas! We brought Sarah out for about 20 seconds, and she had about 5 bites, and she had a hat on!!! So, for camping this place is not so great, we left and went to Diamond Fork instead, much much much better!!! But, the picnicking near the lake was a blast, no bugs that bite there.

Feeding seagulls, Sarah LOVED watching the birds.

Our yummy Fillet Mignon steaks!!!

Fun pictures

Sarah Loves books!

Sarah loves books, she would be content with us reading her books for a LONG time!!!

I made curtains!!

I've been wanting to make curtains for a long time, and I finally did, and then I finally finished them!!!
