Craft blog

So I've decided to make a craft blog. I get excited to share crafts I've been working on, but it is cluttering up this blog. So go on over to hottglue.blogspot.com if you wish. I posted a new sweater dress for Sarah on it!

4 new posts

So I pretty much put off blogging until I have a bunch to blog, so I probably will have a lot of posts when I post, so every time I post, keep scrolling! POST!

Sarah's new favorite thing

walking with something on her head. No matter how many times she runs into things, it's still her favorite thing right now :) :(

More Crafts

I've been doing a few crafts lately that I'm excited about, so I thought I'd share ;) I got the ideas from makeitandloveit.blogspot.com The first I did were the fall blocks, then the autumn basket. I got the basket at DI and spray painted it. (DI has seriously been my favorite place lately) and I got the wheat from Robert's. Then I made the sweater dress for Sarah. I've seen a lot of "re-purposing" on craft blogs lately, and I love little girl sweater dresses, so I thought I'd give it a try. I bought the sweater for $2 at Saver's!

From this frumpy sweater...
To this cute sweater dress!

Sarah's first bloody injury

Sarah fell and hit her lip on the coffee table. It started to bleed, and I freaked out a little bit. It is a YUCKY feeling when you see your child bleeding. Anyway, it stopped bleeding and she seemed to be alright, so I gave her some pudding. I called the Dr and asked if we should get stitches, but she said they can't stitch inside the lip, and half of the injury was inside the lip. It looked pretty deep, but it's pretty much all healed now! This is the best picture I could get, she just really didn't want her picture taken I guess.

Carving Pumpkins and Halloween

The night before Halloween we carved pumpkins as a family. We would have done it sooner, but Isaac has been really busy with school and work. We had a lot of fun! Sarah loved the pumpkin guts, and putting the pipe cleaner and felt on top of her pumpkin over and over. Then on Halloween, we had chili and cornbread for dinner, with sprite and apple juice. We also tried the new pumpkin spice Stephen's hot chocolate, and I really like it! Anyway, we then went trick-or-treating. After about 5 houses in our neighborhood, and no one was home (we had a ward trunk or treat earlier that we didn't make it to, that might have been why no one was participating. I think that is sad :() We went to my parents neighborhood. We went to a few houses and Sarah would just say Oooo oooo when she saw all the candy. She loved it! Then we went to Isaac's Grandma's assisted living place because they were having a trick-or-treat thing. We hit the jack pot there because Sarah would just grab handful after handful, and the people there loved giving her candy. It was nice to see Grandma and some other family there! Then we went to Isaac's parents house. They dress up every year and Mark was a hippie, and Carolyn was a skeleton (They were awesome costumes!) I was sad Halloween was over, but we did a lot of stuff this year, so we definitely didn't let it go by without doing stuff!
