Pocatello and the new kite.
We went up to Pocatello last weekend to visit with Isaac's grandpa and grandma Nielsen because Isaac's grandpa can't get around much, and they hadn't seen Sarah yet. It was a fun little trip. We first stopped off in Malad to visit Isaac's brother and sister's grave, and then we went to Pocatello and saw Isaac's old house and visit with his grandparents. They have a large field across from their house so Isaac was able to fly his new kite. It is a trainer kite to learn kite boarding, and kite buggying, and kite wake boarding. It can pull you pretty well in strong winds, and it makes me a little scared to fly it (one of the guys he works with got a black eye from it, because it pulled him to the ground, but that was really strong wind), but it's pretty fun. Anyway, we flew it while we were there. Isaac's grandpa even came outside to watch, and he hadn't been out for a while. Isaac's grandma made us some yummy lasagna and Easter dessert that we enjoyed! Thank you grandma! Sarah was a pretty good girl for the trip, she just doesn't like to be in her car seat too long so by the end of coming home she was done, but I was able to go in the back for the rest of the ride home to calm her down, and she was fun. We had a good time!

Let's go fly a kite!
6 months!
Sarah turned 6 months on March 3rd 2008. She is such a happy baby!!! She can sit up very well, she rolls from front to back, and back to front. She can push herself up on her hands for a short time. She still fake coughs, blows raspberries, says dadadadada, and very rarely mamamama. Her new trick is blowing air through her lips. Maybe she'll be able to blow her candles out by herself by her 1st birthday, eh?? She is very good at cheerio eating, and she loves practically any kind of food we have given her. She is so fun, and brings to much laughter and joy into our lives, and we can't imagine life without her.
Oh yeah, and this is her 6 month birthday present. Her daddy really wanted to get it for her.

Conference
I know this post is just a little bit late, but I loved General Conference this session. I feel like I got so much out of it. I thought it was so motivating. It wasn't like in sessions past where I just felt guilty that I wasn't doing everything perfectly. It was like I was EXCITED to make some positive changes. In particular, here are some of the goals we made the FHE after conference
-Hold more regularly, planned family home evenings
-attend the temple at least once a month
-keep the house cleaner
-pray together more regularly
Even though it has only been a week, I can already see some positive changes. We are definitely happier, slower to anger, and more loving. It's true!!! Don't you just love the gospel?

Let's get down to business...
To defeat, the Huns. And by Huns I mean fat. I'm ready to get rid of my baby chub. I've been half-heartedly trying to get rid of it since Sarah was born, but now I'm kickin' it into gear. I started with Tae Bo, but that was mostly for toning not as much an aerobic activity, so I'll use it for toning. Then I would go on walks, but Sarah sometimes wouldn't tolerate a long one, and I hated cutting the time short. So, I ordered an aerobic step and Gilad's Step Aerobics. So far it's really fun, and it gets me sweating!! At the bottom of my blog you will see my weight loss ticker, so I can be accountable for the pounds I gain or lose. These are some of the things I love when dieting, and always:
Air pop popcorn popper:
Popcorn is yummy, and filling, and tastes good, especially when you add this:
And a little bit of onera. Om nom nom. It adds 0 calories, even if you spray it 5 times.
Also, I'm really liking frozen vegetables with the butter spray and a little bit of salt. You can also spray it on toast! (These tips I learned from Jill and Ann when I was at SUU. I do not take credit for them)
Yay for getting rid of the chub chub!
